the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc. Since 1959, our
non-profit organization has actively promoted the advancement of vehicle
oriented outdoor recreation. Today, the Association represents over 8,000
members and 160 member clubs. We are the largest organization of this type
in the State and represent owners of all makes and models of 4WD vehicles,
as well as non-owners who support responsible vehicle oriented recreation.

Lost Coast 4x4 - "Lost Coast 4x4's
Humboldt County California - The LOST COAST 4x4's club was formed in Fortuna,
California in the summer of 1992. About six members were active that summer.
The club began building and recruiting new members. By the summer of 1993,
There were about a dozen members. We now have about 50 members. Meetings
are the first Tuesday of every month at the Fortuna Bowling Alley in Fortuna,
CA. Club Meetings start at 7:00 PM and usually last about 90 minutes".

(OHMVR) - "The Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Program was born
in 1971 out of the critical need to better manage growing demands for off-highway
recreation, while at the same time foster respect for private property rights
and protect California's natural and cultural resources. Today, this program,
a division of the California Department of Parks and Recreation, is the
largest and most successful program of its type in the U.S. Today, the program
continues its commitment to provide safe, enjoyable recreation while balancing
the need to protect the state's resources".
